 Responsibilities:

Our client, a leading global private equity firm focused on management buyouts and recapitalizations of middle market companies as well as growth companies, is currently investing its most recent fund of over $1 billion. We are currently engaged in a search for a managing director with a proven track record of working with talented management teams and entrepreneurs to build companies of significant value. The managing director will work closely with portfolio companies in a diverse range of sectors in both the US and Europe and provide capital, operating, and strategic expertise as well as a network of strategic industry contacts to help them become industry leaders.

 Qualifications:

The managing director must have both a track record of success and a network to identify, originate, and execute investments in companies that: have the potential to achieve operational improvement through significantly scaling businesses via add-on acquisition, have the potential or need to establish a global presence, and/or can benefit from strategic repositioning.

Global experience is preferred but not an absolute requirement. The managing director should have a long-standing focus on small and mid size businesses, the ability to oversee a team with unique skills and capabilities including operating, consulting, technology, and financial management experience, and a flexible investment approach which emphasizes speed and responsiveness. Investment experience should include: management-led buyouts of recapitalizations of well established, profitable manufacturing and service businesses as well as growth/development capital investments in promising high growth companies.
