Responsibilities
Our client is a principal investment group with a superb track record, with a focus on domestic and overseas middle-market companies. The team members pride themselves on creating opportunities, identifying key industry leaders, building strategic partnerships and developing successful transactions. The Associate will be responsible primarily for financial modeling and fundamental analysis as well as strong originations work. Therefore, it is critical for the new team-members to be comfortable speaking to all levels of company management. This role relies heavily on superior financial modeling skills – an advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel including running various scenarios, iterative processes and result optimization is critical.
Qualifications
Candidates for this opportunity must have a minimum of financial modeling with an investment bank, a financial advisory practice, or consulting firm. Completion of an investment bank training program (with an emphasis on modeling) will be strongly preferred. A bachelor in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Engineering is most appropriate.
In essence, the new Associate must have strong M&A skills. One to three years at a top-tier investment bank with general industry exposure will be ideal.
Compensation:
Compensation is targeted at a base of $60 to 70K plus bonus.
